About Our Dealership
Doc's Harley-Davidson of Shawano County has a flavor unlike most dealerships. Based on knowledgeable, honest, caring ideals from small beginnings, your experience at Doc's can be most rewarding. Our new 58 acre facility features roaming buffalo, and an inside critter tour with alligators, crocodiles, a parrot, tortoises, iguanas, a pot-bellied pig, and much more. Click here for Doc's Zoo. We also feature performance work in our shop. Doc actively campaigns a Top-Fuel dragbike, so we know how to give your Harley-Davidson® that seat of the pants horsepower and make the crisp "staccato beat" a strong Harley-Davidson should have.
Doc and the crew at Doc's welcome you to a fine atmosphere and genuine refreshing hospitality, to take care of all your Harley-Davidson needs, and to give you more than you thought was possible at a Harley-Davidson dealership.
Our History        Established in 1979, Doc's Harley-Davidson grew from a one-man operation in the backwoods of Shawano, Wisconsin. Doc has based his business on a very fond love of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles since his first Harley-Davidson® in 1965, a 1939 Flathead purchased for $2 !! From there, a constant learning curve of the whole mechanical line began. Starting in 1975, Doc was professionally dragracing a nitro-methane burning Harley-Davidson®. In 1994 Doc set two world records that held for 3 full years! Doc still races a Top-Fuel Harley-Davidson® today along with his daughter who began racing in 1995. (Click here for more information on our dragracing ventures.) In April of 1998, Doc purchased 58 acres of land and built the current dealership. Incorporating a great deal of past experience into the future, together with the whole crew at Doc's, we continue to create an endless stream of imaginative adventures for the best people on the planet earth, the Harley-Davidson rider.

Doc's Pontoon
Doc's Harley-Davidson has converted a 14 passenger, 20 foot Weeres pontoon boat into a Harley-Davidson pontoon boat. The boat was originally powered by a Twin cam® motor connected to a paddlewheel. Although the paddlewheel looked impressive, and threw great "rooster tails" of water, it did not make the boat fast enough. We have now upgraded from the paddlewheel to an outboard lower unit connected to the same Harley-Davidson® motor. It's even equipped with a Harley-Davidson® primary and transmission with reverse kit. The boat still isn't fast, but it sounds great and it gets a lot of looks going across Shawano Lake.
Doc's Ceiling Fan
The newest addition to our long list of unique oddities includes this fully functional ceiling fan made by Doc. The fan weighs over 400 pounds and consists of 4 fullsize Harley-Davidson® windshields held by 4 swingarms and interlocked together with connecting rods and camshafts. This allows the entire unit to circulate the air with the help of a Harley-Davidson® transmission, belt & sprocket. You can find the fan on display in our service department above our service write-up area.
